Ban to be lifted June 4

The Ga Traditional Council has announced that the ban on drumming and noise-making will be lifted on June 4, 2009. It said that would be followed by the celebration of the traditional Odadao on the same day at 5pm.

A statement signed by the Registrar for the traditional council, Mr. E.T. Addoquaye, said the Homowo celebration would take place as follows: Nungua, July 4; Lante Djan We, July 25; Ga Mashie, August 8; Tema, August 14. The rest are Osu, La, Teshie and Kpone, August 14, and Pampram and Ningo, August 18.
