Bagbin calls on MPs to embrace all shades of political opinion

Mr. Alban Bagbin, the Minister of Health, has called on all Members of Parliament (MPs) to embrace all shades of political opinion in their constituencies to give meaning to President John Dramani Mahama’s pledge of running an all-inclusive administration.

Mr. Bagbin who made the call at a thank you rally held at Sombo in the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency, extended a hand of friendship to Dr. Boye Bandie of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other defeated parliamentary candidates in the constituency to join hands with him to improve the lot of the people.

Mr. Bagbin said development was like a baobab tree that could not be embraced at the base by a single person, adding that it could only be embraced if all join hands to circle it.

He said the election was over and appealed to the people to hold hands and work together in peace for the development of the constituency and the country.

Mr. Bagbin, who had been re-elected for the sixth time, rendered apology to all those who might have felt offended by his conduct or any member of his campaign team during the campaign period.

“We sons and daughters of Nadowli and Kaleo Traditional Areas are branches of the same tree. Our roots are anchored on the fertile soil of the same lineage, culture and traditions. Therefore, we must stick together and work hard for our common good”, he said.

The MP pledged to lead the way in fostering unity among them so that together they could continue to lift the image of their constituency higher and higher.

Mr. Bagbin thanked chiefs, religious leaders, regional, constituency, ward and branch executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the entire people of the constituency for once again reposing confidence in him and pledged to continue to work hard to bring more development to the constituency.
