BA regional minister receives Maranatha power ministries delegation

The Brong-Ahafo regional minister, Mr. Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, has urged churches to lay equal emphasis on the physical development of the people they bring to Christ since that is the way by which there would be total upliftment for the people.

He noted that just preaching the gospel and leaving out the provision of social amenities would deprive the people of healthy living. Mr. Nyamekye Marfo was interacting with a two man delegation from the Maranatha Power Ministries International at his office on Monday.

The delegation was in Sunyani to brief the minister on the provision of water wells for four communities in the Brong-Ahafo region. The beneficiary communities are Kawampe, Tanoano, Zabrama and Benuano. The regional minister commended the Maranatha ministries for the provision of water for the communities and called on other religious bodies to also assist government in providing the needed social infrastructure to better the lives of the people.

The leader of the delegation, Rev, Steve Yeboah, who is chief of staff of the Maranatha ministries, said the church has a duty to assist government in providing the needed facilities to enhance living conditions for the people.

He added that the Maranatha ministries has a policy of assisting the needy in the society and called for support from state authority in carrying out its mandate.

Rev. Yeboah said the water wells would be commissioned in September this year to be followed by crusades and medical missions in the beneficiary communities.

The other member of the delegation was Rev. Augustine Owusu Akyeaw, the Missions Director of the Maranatha ministries. They were accompanied by the General Overseer of the Living Grace Ministries, Rev Dr Richard Owusu Akyeaw.
