B/A Regional Minister completes annual tax return

Sunyani, April 28, GNA- Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Brong Ahafo Regional Minister on Thursday expressed the need for Ghana to mobilize enough revenue to accelerate national development.

He therefore tasked the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to intensify the tax education drive, stressing that there was more to be done in the area of

health and education, to change the lives of the people. Nana Seinti made the call when he submitted his annual tax return at the regional IRS office in Sunyani, as part of activities lined up for the celebration of this year’s annual Revenue Week.

The Regional Minister observed that the tax education had not gone

down well with the people, hence the need to intensify the process. Mr Kwasi Yankah, Regional Director of the Service said the IRS Act stipulated that all taxpayers should submit their returns by April 30 every year.
