B/A NDC constituency organizers appeal for patriotic candidates

The Constituency Organizers Forum of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Brong-Ahafo, has appealed to Delegates for the Party’s forthcoming National Congress, to ensure the prudent election of candidates.

A statement signed by its Secretary, Mr. Casimir M Bazigha in Sunyani, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), urged the delegates to elect candidates with the Party’s interest at heart as national officers.

“In selecting candidates for the national positions, we need persons who are patriotic, loyal, dedicated and committed,” the statement indicated, stressing that the Party needs such calibre of people to inject “strategic approach into the Party’s present and future programmes.”

It added, “It’s about time to expose contestants who are out there to bribe and deceive delegates for post. Delegates should avoid self-interest, and consciously vote wisely to move NDC not only to the next level, but also to win the ultimate, the 2016 General Elections.”

The Forum also congratulated delegates for the peaceful manner in which they comported themselves during the just ended Regional Conference in Sunyani, and extended a similar appreciation to delegates in the other regions.

The statement mentioned the Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. Eric Opoku and his Deputy, Mr. Justice Samuel Adjei, Messrs Johnson Asiedu-Nketia and Yaw Boateng Gyan, General Secretary and National Organizer respectively, for their immense contributions towards the successful holding of the Brong-Ahafo Regional Conference.

It appealed to newly-elected executives in all constituencies to unite with all defeated contestants to fight for a common goal for the Party.

The statement philosophically reminded defeated candidates that “One is noted to be a man, if one falls down, and gets up again, because there are more chances ahead of one.”
