Ayeboafo appeals for social amenities

Ayeboafo (E/R), June 11, GNA – The Ayeboafo community in the newly created Akyemmansa District of the Eastern Region has appealed to the government to assist the town and its surrounding villages to acquire for more development projects.

Nene Narkey Ahiakwa II, Odikro of the area, made the appeal at a meeting of the Area Development Committee to discuss among other things, the lack of social amenities in the area.

Nene Ahiakwa said Ayeboafo lacked a Junior High School, potable drinking water, toilets, a decent market place, a clinic, good roads and other fitting social facilities.

According to him, Ayeboafo could once boast of one Local Authority Primary School block, constructed over 50 years ago by the people, which has now become a death-trap.

The Odikro appealed to the government to go to their aid with the provision of projects to help improve their living standards.
