The resolution urged the government to extend the SSNIT loan scheme to cover teachers taking part in the distance education programme to motivate them.

It suggested that teachers quarters should attached to any new school that would be constructed to help ease accommodation problem facing teachers.

The resolution urged GNAT to fight for the restoration of salary advance if it had been cancelled because teachers were not enjoying it. It called for upward review and early payment of the allowance paid teachers for supervision and invigilation during examination by West African Examination Council and Ghana Education Service.

Mr Samuel Quartey, a Lecturer of the Winneba University of Education, urged teachers to be focused and to teach students not only to acquire knowledge without understanding and applying them.
