Awudra supports communities in catchment area

Awudra Ventures, a small scale mining company, has assisted Manso-Yawkasakrom in the Amansie West District, and Subin and Akwaboso in the Upper Denkyira District of the Central Region under its corporate social responsibility.

The company has constructed a 3-room teachers quarters for Manso-Yawkasakrom, and further donated GH¢1,400 for the purchase of canopies and chairs for use by the community.

The company has also donated GH¢7,000 to support the rehabilitation of the Subin-Akwaboso Feeder road to link Manso-Asamang in Amansie West being undertaken by the Subin-Akwaboso to Kejetia branch of the Progressive Transport Owners Association (PROTOA) Motor Union .

The acting Director of Awudra Ventures, Mr. K. Gu, said the company had employed 500 permanent workers at their operation sites, and appealed to the government to assist them acquire a concession for large scale operations to engage more hands and cut down unemployment.
