Auditor-General attends AFROSAI-E Inauguration

Accra, April 11,GNA – A three-member delegation headed by Mr Edward Dua Agyeman, the Auditor-General left Accra on Saturday for the inauguration of the English Speaking African Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E) in South Africa.

The other members of the delegation included Mr. Samuel Sallas Mensah, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and NDC Member of Parliament for East Akim and Mr Caleb A. Annan, Assistant Auditor-General, Administration and Human Resource Development, in-charge of AFROSAI-E matters.

The statement said the Auditor-General would attend another meeting on Thursday April 14, 2005 to discuss, among other things, the proposed amendments to the African Organisations of Supreme Audit Institution’s statutes.

He is also expected to attend the AFROSAI-E Governing Board meeting. 11 April, 05
