Kumasi, Sept 20, GNA- Mr Thomas Atigah, a 53-year-old Auctioneer and farmer, has been elected by popular acclamation as the parliamentary candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), for Asawasi in Kumasi.

Mr Atigah, who is also the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the PNC, was the first to be elected in the Region at a delegates’ conference. He thanked the delegates’ for confidence reposed in him. Mr Samuel Owusu-Afriyie, the Kumasi Metropolitan Electoral Officer in charge of Asawasi, Oforikrom and Asokwa, asked eligible voters who have not completed the process of getting their names into the Voters’ Register to do so before the end of September, to be able to exercise their franchise.
