Atwima pays five billion cedis for SIF projects

Adankwame (Ash), Oct. 27, GNA- Mr Foster Boateng, the Ashanti Regional Officer of the Social Investment Fund (SIF), has commended the Atwima District Assembly for paying its couter-part funding of five billion cedis towards the completion of 10 SIF projects in the district. Speaking at the inauguration of a 248-million cedis SIF funded school at Adankwame at the weekend, he said, four more projects were nearing completion.

Mr Boatenjg said basic social amenities and social infrastructure were some of the amenities provided for the people in the area. He asked the beneficiary communities to pay their counter-part funding to ensure more SIF projects.

Mr Charles Yeboah, the Atwima District Chief Executive announced that the assembly will support 10 more communities to benefit from the SIF projects.

He asked the people to patronise the National Health Insurance Scheme NHIS) so as to make health delivery accessible to all.
