Atwima-Nwabiagya to benefit from power supply

Atwima-Mim (Ash), May 8, GNA – Mr Thomas Ofori Donkor, Atwima-Nwabiagya District Chief Executive, has announced that 13 communities in the District are to benefit from power supply this year. He was speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people of Atwima-Mim near Nkawie at the weekend.

The DCE said two communities, Worapong and Nkontommire, were presently enjoying solar energy.

He commended the people for promoting peace, which had paved the way for them to live in harmony and understanding. Nana Adu Kofi III, Wireduhene of Atwima-Mim, exhorted the people to redouble their communal efforts towards the execution of development projects in the town. Earlier, Mr Kwame Nkrumah, Unit Committee Secretary, had appealed to the District Chief Executive to assist in the rehabilitation of the local school and also demarcate the school’s plot to avoid encroachment. 8 May 06
