Atwima-Nwabiagya NDC elects parliamentary candidate

Abuakwa (Ash), Feb 11, GNA – The Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the weekend elected Mr Christopher Chogkureh, a 40-year-old tutor of the Nkawie Senior High/Technical School, as its parliamentary candidate for the December general elections. He polled 157 out of 207 valid votes to beat Mr Kwame Ofosuhene, his challenger, who polled 50 votes in the elections held at Abuakwa and supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission (EC). Alhaji Mohammed Sannie, Ashanti Regional First Vice-Chairman of NDC, commended party members for the peaceful election and urged them to intensify their campaign at the branch levels to ensure victory for the party in the elections. Mr Cogkureh thanked the party members for electing him.
