Atwima-Mponua NPP elects new officers

Barniekrom (Ash), Dec. 9, GNA – A Purchasing Clerk, Mr Isaac Kofi Marfo, has been elected the new Chairman of the Atwima-Mponua Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He polled 545 votes to defeat Mr Asante Baffour, the incumbent, who garnered 60 votes. This was at the party’s delegates conference held at Barniekrom, near Nyinahin and supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission. Other officers picked included Messrs Kofi Antwi, first Vice Chairman, Bob Kwadwo Asare, second Vice Chairman, Charles Dwumfuor, Secretary, and Peter Amponsah, Treasurer.

The rest were Maxwell Osei Bonsu, Organizer, Madam Doris Antwiwaa, Women Organizer, Kwame Oppong, Youth Organizer, and Collins Addai, Deputy Secretary. The Chairman pledged they would work tirelessly to win more votes for the party in the 2012 general elections. 9 Dec. 09
