Atwima-Mponua constituency of NDC elects candidate

Nyinahin (Ash), April 29, GNA – A 38-year-old tutor of the Aduman Senior High School in Ashanti has been elected by popular acclamation as the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Atwima-Mponua constituency.

Mr Ali Yeboah, who was the sole candidate, was acclaimed by all the 149 polling station agents who constituted the Electoral College in the constituency.

Mr Yao Doe Tamakloe, Ashanti Regional Secretary of the party, called on party supporters to close their ranks and work hard to win members to vote massively for Prof John Atta-Mills, the party’s flagbearer and the party’s parliamentary candidate.

He advised polling station agents to be more vigilant during voting and counting of ballot papers on the Election Day to prevent rigging.

Mr Akwasi Twumasi, Constituency chairman, said the NPP had failed Ghanaians and the people were calling for the NDC.
