Atwima cocoa mass sprayers commended.

Nkawie (Ash), Oct. 28, GNA – Mr. Charles Yeboah, Atwima District Chief Executive has commended the mass cocoa sprayers for their hard work and honesty in covering about 85 per cent of the cocoa growing areas in the district.

Mr Yeboah attributed their inability to cover the remaining areas to insufficient spraying gangs.

He gave the commendation when he met the cocoa sprayers, supervisors and chief farmers in the district at Nkawie. The DCE however, urged the sprayers to work harder during the next cocoa spraying exercise.

Mr. Yeboah also congratulated the farmers for co-operating with the sprayers for an effective and successful spraying exercise. He advised the cocoa farmers not to use the money from their proceeds in marrying many wives, but rather invest in their children’s education.

Mr Yeboah appealed to the cocoa farmers to be grateful to the government for increasing the price of cocoa.
