Atulbabiisi parents provide JHS for wards

Parents of Primary Six pupils at the Saint Peter and Paul primary school at Atulbabisi in the Bolgatanga Municipality have contributed to renovate a school block to house their wards who would be going to Junior High School (JHS) next academic year.

The parents are contributing GH?40.00 each per child to renovate an old structure in the school to start a JHS because pupils of the school in the past had difficulties in gaining admission into JHSs in other parts of the Municipality.

Madam Margaret Ayarik, Head teacher of the school said this at an emergency meeting attended by parents of primary six pupils at the school on Wednesday.

She said work on the project was expected to start when pupils were on holidays to give ample time for is completion and appealed to parents to contribute for the takeoff of the project.

Parents who attended the meeting charged the teachers to do their best by providing quality education for the children.

Mr Darlos Tong, PTA Chairman of the school asked parents to assist teachers in the training of the children to curb the increasing rate of indiscipline.

He also urged them to support their children to learn while at home.
