Attebubu/Amantin NPP supporters against re- nomination of DCE

Accra, May 16, GNA – Concerned supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Atebubu/Amantin Constituency of the Brong Ahafo Region, on Monday petitioned President John Agyekum Kufuor against the re-nomination of Mr Cassius Osie-Poku as the District Chief Executive.

A petition signed by Joseph Boadi, Chairman, Godwin Osei-Wusu, Vice-Chairman and Asante Mensah Gilbert, Secretary, asked the President to immediately dismiss Mr Osei-Poku for his poor performance during his term of office.

They stated that since Mr Osie-Poku took office four years ago he had failed to honour invitations to public meetings and forums to educate the electorates about the activities of the NPP Government.

“We hope the President would not forget the fact that the output of work of his nominees for various political appointments will determine the fate of the NPP in 2008 elections,” the petition said.
