Atta Mills memorial lecture to be delivered by ex-Malawi president

This year’s lecture in honour of late President John Evans Atta Mills is scheduled for Monday, July 25.

It will be delivered by Former Malawi President Joyce Hilda Banda. Professor Atta Mills died on July 24, 2012, while head of state of Ghana.

This year’s lecture will be the fourth in his commemoration. The lecture to be themed ‘Atta Mills: the Servant Leader’ will take place at the main auditorium of the University of Cape Coast.

Separately, a library built in the late president’s honour, John Evans Atta Mills Presidential Library, will also be commissioned on that day.

Built near the Chapel Square in Cape Coast, the library will be commissioned by President John Dramani Mahama, who also laid the foundation stone in 2013, when the first anniversary of the death of the scholar was marked.
