Atlas Copco gives to Obuasi Municipal towards Independence Day

Obuasi, March 7, GNA – The Obuasi Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region has received items worth GH¢15,000 from Atlas Copco Ghana, a worldwide giant industrial productivity solution provider in commemoration of Ghana 54th Independence Day anniversary.

The Assembly received the items, which came in gift packages of assorted foods and drinks meant to be distributed to the first and second cycle school children in the Municipality who participated in the Independence Day march.

Ms Susan Manu, the Deputy Human Resource Manager and Administrator Manager of Atlas Copco, said the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to aid the celebration of Ghana’s birth 5= 4 years ago to the Municipality. Ms Gladys Mante, Communication Officer of the company, also said the donation was to further cement Atlas Copco cordial relationship with the Municipal Assembly over years.

She said the company had rendered various support services to the Municipality, mainly in areas of health and education.
