ATL MAKES DONATION TO THE SATELLITES

Thirty sets of three-piece “agbada” outfits have been donated by Akosombo Textiles Limited (ATL) to the Black Satellites squad to Malaysia’97.

The outfits are fashioned out of the special cloth produced by Akosombo Textiles for the 40th anniversary of independence celebrations.

At a brief presentation ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend, the Public Relations Officer of ATL, Mrs. Margaret Opoku, said the use of the anniversary cloth was intended to inspire patriotism in the squad and motivate the team to win laurels at the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Malaysia.

Mr. Osam Duodu, Secretary General of GFA, thanked ATL for the wonderful gesture and expressed the hope that the Satellites would not let Ghanaian down at the tournament. The Black Satellites have since left for South Korea on a two-match brush-up tour before flying to Malaysia.
