Atimatim-Taabuom road in deplorable state

Atimatim(Ash), Oct.13, GNA – The people of Atimatim in the Kwabre district have expressed concern about the deplorable condition of the three-kilometre Atimatim-Taabuom road.

A heavy downpour has rendered the road un-motorable causing a lot of inconvenience to drivers and passengers.

They have therefore, called on the Assembly to rehabilitate the road to facilitate movement of people and goods to marketing centres. Mrs Helen Mensah, a resident of Atimatim and spokesperson told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Thursday that the road had been neglected and should be rehabilitated.

She regretted that the Assembly had not lived up to its responsibility in the provision of infrastructure such as classroom blocks, places of convenience, drains and roads. Mrs Mensah called on the Assembly to treat the area as part of the District and provide the residents with their basic needs to enhance their living standards.
