Atebubu NPP unhappy with Kufuor

Members of the Atebubu constituency branch of the NPP have kicked against the President?s decision to retain the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area.

They say the move will have dire consequences on the fortunes of the party and the district at large.

Explaining why they disapprove of Cassius Osei Poku?s nomination, Secretary to the executive, Emmanuel Owusu Ansah said upon instructions from the National headquarters, the constituency forwarded a list of three people to be considered for the job.

But to their surprise, the DCE was retained.

Mr. Ansah told JOY News that the DCE failed to meet the people?s development aspirations.

Mr. Owusu Ansah said although the constituency recognizes that president Kufuor has the sole authority to choose a DCE, they feel deceived.

Executives of the constituency will meet on Sunday to decide on their next line of action.
