Serie A side Atalanta is reportedly on the verge of signing Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana from English Championship club Southampton.
The Italian club is said to be in advanced negotiations for the 21-year-old winger, with the deal expected to be worth €17 million. Kamaldeen is reportedly keen on reuniting with his former manager Ivan Juric, who played a pivotal role in his development at Southampton during the 2024/25 season.
Kamaldeen featured in 26 Premier League games under Juric, starting in 17 of them. While his output included one goal and one assist, the Ghanaian forward showcased his potential with dynamic performances, averaging 55 minutes per game.
Speculation surrounding Kamaldeen’s move away from England has intensified this transfer window, with Italy emerging as the likely destination for the talented winger.
Atalanta’s interest reflects their intent to strengthen their attacking options as they prepare for the 2025/26 Serie A campaign. Should the deal go through, it would mark a significant step in Kamaldeen Sulemana’s career as he looks to establish himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
