Asutifi DCE commissions three-classroom block

Amanfrom (B/A) March 29 GNA- Mr Michael Nsiah-Agyepong, Asutifi District Chief Executive has commissioned a 148-million-cedis three-classroom block for the local junior secondary school at Amanfrom. Social Investment Fund (SIF) and the Asutifi District Assembly jointly executed the project, whilst the community provided communal labour.

Mr. Nsiah-Agyepong commended the communal spirit of the people and urged them to help initiate more development projects to improve their living standards. He assured the people of government’s commitment to the provision of their basic needs and advised them to exercise restraint to allow government to equitably distribute the national cake according to each community’s needs.

Nana Yaw Boakye, chief of the town thanked the SIF and the District Assembly for the project, noting that the school block would relieve the JSS pupils of the burden of walking three kilometres daily to the nearest JSS in Hwidiem. He appealed to the Assembly for a KVIP and potable water.
