Asunafo North citizens caution against water pollution

Goaso (B/A) March 4, GNA- Alhaji Ishak Abubakar Bonsu, Asunafo North District Chief Executive, has cautioned people in communities in the area to refrain from polluting water bodies. The DCE gave the warning when he interacted with the people of Atoom, Awewoho-Manshia, Antwiagyeikrom and Pomaakrom all in the district.

Alhaji Abubakar said he had received report that people living along water bodies used agro-chemical, popularly called DDT, to catch fish in streams that served as drinking water.

Alhaji Bonsu described the situation as dangerous and said persons caught committing the offence would be dealt with accordingly the law. He appealed to assembly members and to assist enforce the law on water pollution.
