Association to award teachers at Klefe

Klefe (V/R), Feb. 02, GNA – The Klefe Youth Development Association (KYDA) is to set up an award scheme for teachers in the Klefe Traditional Area. Mr Delali Kasu, the Assemblyman-elect for the Area and an executive member of KYDA, told the GNA on Wednesday that the initiative was expected to help improve academic performance in the area.

He said though the pupils were doing well, a motivation for teacher= s would further improve their academic performance to become the best in the Ho Municipal area as was the case some years ago. Mr Kasu said traditional authorities and opinion leaders in the area were providing teaching and learning materials to the schools and that it was time to motivate the teachers as well. “We have donated flat-screen desk top computers to the schools, building a computer laboratory and classroom blocks and we think it is just prudent to turn to our teachers,” he said.

Mr Kasu appealed to teachers in the area to distinguish themselves to qualify for the awards this year.
