The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has said it does not need a voluminous document to sell its message to the people of Ghana.
Speaking to Class News on why there had been a delay in political parties releasing their manifestos for this year’s elections, PPP Chairman Dr Nii Allotey Brew Hammond said Ghanaians should not wait for a long document on what the parties intend doing but assess their capabilities.
“Our 10 points is our manifesto,” he stated.
“We want the people of Ghana to hold us accountable to our promise to ensure that if given the power, all of our children will go to school from kindergarten to the senior high school. And then we will abolish the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). That’s all we need the public to know.
“We will also want the public to hold us accountable to our pledge that when elected, we will provide jobs, we will create jobs for every Ghanaian that is looking for a job to do because there are jobs.
“We want Ghanaians to hold us accountable to our abilities to address preventable diseases because they can be prevented, a stewardship that will ensure that there is discipline.”
