Assemblyman for Kwamoso appeals for extension of power to homes in the area

Kwamoso (E/R), Aug. 16, GNA-The Assemblyman for Kwamoso Electoral Area, Mr. Mohammed Gibrine Anagli, has appealed to government to extend electricity to the homes of residents in the area.

He made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Kwamoso at the weekend.

Mr. Gibrine also appealed to the Department of Feeder Roads to help rehabilitate the Mampong Nkwanta 96Otwetri Road.

He explained that the road leads to a major tourist site at Obuom and so when rehabilitated, could help to promote the area and generate economic activities among the communities there.

Mr. Gibrine said Obuom was situated along the ancient Akuapem =96Kumasi route and the ancient caves which were used as bunkers by the Akuapems during the ancient wars could be found in the area including the resting sites where Okomfo Anokye rested on his journey to Asante.

He also appealed for the completion of the Saforo District Assembly Primary School building, the rehabilitation of the Addo Nkwanta Presbyterian Primary School building and the Otwitiri District Assembly Junior High School building.
