Assemblyman for Awutu Senya appeals for vehicle for Kasoa Police

Kasoa, May 18, GNA- Mr Oppey Abbey, Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya Constituency, has appealed to the Police Command, to provide four-wheel vehicles to the Kasoa District Police station, to facilitate crime combat on the rough terrain.

Mr Abbey made the appeal at an educational rally at Kpormeitey, a suburb of Kasoa, where the District Commander, Mr Charles A. Adalong revealed that personnel of the Service were not able to arrest some armed robbers on the Nyanyano-Kasoa road because of the bumpy nature of the road.

He used the occasion to make a personal donation of 500,000 cedis to strengthen the work of the local Watchdog Committee. Mr Abbey said a drain would be constructed over the Okrudu River. Mr Adalong called for public cooperation in crime prevention.
