Assemblyman calls for unity

Gomoa Oguaa(C/R), Jan. 31, GNA – The newly-elected Assemblyman for Gomoa Oguaa electoral area in Gomoa East District, Mr Derrick Mbir, has appealed to his constituents to bury their differences and work in unison towards the development of the area.

Mr Mbir made the appeal at a durbar organized by the chiefs and people of Gomoa Oguaa to climax their annual Akwambo festival. Mr Mbir asked the people to see themselves as one united body and each should jointly contribute their quota towards the development of the area. He expressed his gratitude to the electorate for electing him to represent them at the Assembly, and said his doors were always opened for suggestions that could help develop the area.

Mr Mbir said the development of the area was a collective responsibility not only for the Assembly but for everyone. He assured the people that he will not abuse the confidence reposed in him and promised not to use his new position to lord it over them.
