Assemblyman appeals for the rehabilitation of

Nsawam (E/R), Nov. 5, GNA – Mr Gumezo Thompson, former Assemblyman for Pakro Electoral Area, near Nsawam in the Akwapem South District on Monday appealed to the Department of Feeder Roads to help construct the road linking Nsawam to Pakro.

Mr Thompson who made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency at Nsawam, expressed regret that due to the bad nature of the road some market have had to carry their foodstuffs and walk over 14 kilometres to the marketing centres.

He said patients who are at times referred from the Pakro Health Centre to the main Nsawam Government hospital are carried on shoulders due to the poor nature of the road.

He added that drivers plying the road have also stopped, resulting in foodstuffs locking up in the area.
