Assembly Votes 150mC To Promote Ventures In Agriculture

Breman-Brakwa(C/R), Aug.21 -The Essikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly has voted 150 Million Cedis out of its share of the District Assemblies common fund for the promotion of agriculture and other ventures in the area. Mrs Charlotte Kyei-Mensah, district chief executive for the area was speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Breman- Brakwa. She said the assembly has initiated strategies which will enable it to implement the planned programmes successfully, and urged farmers in the district to take advantage of the proposals. Mrs Charlotte Kyei-Mensah also spoke about tourism and said her administration was vigorously working out plans to boost tourism in the district in the coming years. She said the fund earmarked for the income-generating ventures would be judiciously utilized to ensure that it has achieved the required results, and appealed to all citizens to contribute their quota towards attainment of this objective.
