Kasoa (C/R), July 22, GNA- The Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly in the Central Region, will demolish structures on water ways and unapproved sites at Kasoa and other settlements in the district before the end of this year. People who would be affected by the demolition are therefore, advised to relocate to avoid embarrassment when the exercise commences. Mr. Solomon Abbam-Quaye, the District Chief, announced these when he was inaugurating the newly formed Kasoa “Onua Do Kuw”, a benevolent society at the weekend at Kasoa. He urged members of the society to plant trees around their houses and other public buildings to beautify the town and to serve as windbreaks.

Mr. Abbam-Quaye urged the executives to be accountable and transparent in its operations to ensure the survival of the group. Mr. Abbam-Quaye appealed to the society to form a credit union so that members could benefit from the Government’s micro credit facilities for small-scale enterprises. Mr. Osei Kwadwo, the Chairman of the group, said it was non-partisan and appealed to members to avoid politicising the group. 22 July 07
