Assembly sets up Board for water sector at Nkoranza

Nkoranza (B/A), July 8, GNA – The Nkoranza District Assembly has set up a 11-member board of directors to oversee the Nkoranza water system project and ensure constant flow of water to the people.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr Anaclateus Fakoo Dorzie, who inaugurated the board at Nkoranza on Thursday stressed the need for members to work together and ensure regular maintenance of the machines.

He urged them to ensure effective collection and management of revenue that would accrue from the system and to visit the project site and interact with the workers.

Mr Twumasi Stephen Gyamfi, the General Technical Supervisor, gave assurance that he would offer the necessary advice towards the smooth running of the water system to ensure that the people enjoyed water at all times.

Members of the board are, Mr Joseph Ababio, District Finance Officer, Mr. Samson Madana, District Planning Officer, Mr Jones Opoku Mensah, District Engineer, Mr B.B. Acheampong, chairman of the Assembly’s Works Sub-committee, Mr A. O. Tawiah, Chairman of Nkoranza Urban Council and Mr Akwasi Owusu Sekyere, Chairman of the District Assembly’s Agricultural Sub-committee.

The others are, Mr Kofi Busia, Chairman of the Finance and Administration sub-committee, Madam Juliana Tutuwaa, Ghana Education Service, Madam Ofori Kumah and Madam Victoria Sarpong, both businesswomen and Mr Nashidu Issah, representative of Nkoranza Zongo community.
