Mampong (Ash), Dec. 23, GNA – The Asante-Mampong Municipal Assembly realised a total of GH¢105,629.38 from internally generated funds in November, Mr Daniel Appau Ohyeamang, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has=
announced. The figure represents 37.2 per cent of the GH¢283,822.00 targeted for the year. The MCE, who was addressing the third ordinary meeting of the assembl= y at Asante-Mampong on Tuesday said to help improve on revenue collection, a revenue task force would be set up.
He said the plans would ensure efficiency and seal all leakages. Mr Ohyeamang said to help the police deal with the spate of high-way robberies particularly on the Mampong-Ejura road, the assembly has provid= ed the personnel with some needed logistics. The assembly has also started the preparation of the 2010-2013 Development Plan, and he invited inputs from all departmental heads. Mr Stephen Asamoah, Presiding Member, called for a united front to pu= sh ahead with the development of the municipality.
