Assembly members urged to respect time

Funsi (U/W), July 9, GNA – Effective time management is a key ingredient for improving on performance at the Assembly, Mr Kuri Suglo, Wa East District Assembly Presiding Member (PM) told colleague Assembly members in Accra.

He said as opinion leader, they should respect time and avoid lateness to Assembly meetings.

Mr Suglo said this when he welcomed members to the first ordinary meeting of the Wa East District Assembly on Thursday.

He expressed dissatisfaction about how the late arrival of some Assembly members to the meeting kept the District Chief Executive, the District Coordinating Director and Heads of Departments waiting for several hours to start the meeting.

Mr. Suglo noted that late start of Assembly meetings could have a negative impact on Assembly proceedings, which according to him would not auger well for the development of the district.

The presiding member urged his colleagues to work on their response to time and strive towards making respect for time one of the legacies they would leave behind for their successors by the end of their tenure of office.
