Assembly members urged to endorse President’s nominee

Nkoranza (B/A), June 17, GNA – Mr. Adjei Yeboah, Presiding Member of Nkoranza District Assembly has urged Members to endorse the nomination of Mr James Appiah-Awuah as District Chief Executive with a 100 percent vote. He told Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza that the people of Nkoranza had no problem about the choice of Mr Appiah-Awuah and advised the

Members to maintain the record set for the former DCE, Mr Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, who received a 100 per cent vote. The Presiding Member advised them to bury their political differences and unite for a common goal of ensuring the development of the district to improve the living conditions of the people.

Mr Yeboah announced that plans were underway to call for a general meeting of all Assembly members by the close of June to decide on the confirmation of the nominee. Mr Appiah-Awuah, a teacher by profession is a citizen of Pinihe, near Nkoranza.
