Assembly endorses nominee as the new DCE for Atwima-Nwabiagya

Nkawie (Ash), June 30, GNA – Mr Thomas Ofori Donkor, a 46-year-old teacher, was on Thursday endorsed as the new District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atwima-Nwabiagya District. All the 28 members of the assembly voted for him representing 100 per cent of votes cast.

Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Ashanti Regional Minister, thanked the assembly for the peaceful manner the election was conducted. He told them to support the DCE to enable him continue implementing the development projects of the assembly to improve upon the living conditions of the people. The Regional Minister asked the new DCE to be honest and firm in the discharge of his duties to make the district a model one.

Mr Donkor expressed gratitude and appreciation to the assembly members for confirming him and said appealed to them to rally behind him for the development of the district.
