Assembly donates 20 million cedis to needy apprentices

Mankranso (Ash), Nov 27, GNA- Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng, the Ahafo Ano South District Chief Executive, has presented 20 million cedis from the assembly to needy apprentice tailors and dressmakers of the Mankranso zone of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association.

The presentation coincided with the inauguration of the association and graduation of nine apprentices from the zone.

Mr Boateng said it was the assembly’s contribution towards assisting needy apprentice tailors and dressmakers to start their own businesses.

The DCE urged members of the association to form cooperative groups so that they could benefit from financial assistance from the assembly.

In a speech read on his behalf Mr Stephen Balado Manu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo Ano South, asked the association to ensure that they gave their customers value for their money and promised to buy them three sewing machines.
