Assembly constructs 80 million-cedi school block

Offinso (Ashanti Region) 16 Nov ’98 The Offinso District Assembly has with European Union (EU) assistance built an 80 million-cedi six classroom block for the Dentin Methodist primary school. The assembly has also constructed an additional six classroom block for the school at a cost of 40 million cedis. Mr Kwabena Konadu Amoah, assemblyman for Dentin, made this known at the School’s Performance Appraisal Meeting (SPAM) attended by the School Management committee, the Parent Teacher Association and unit committee members at Offinso at the weekend. Mr A.A. Turkson, Assistant Director in-charge of Inspectorate division at Offinso, said the government was doing everything possible to ensure quality education in the schools and called on parents and teachers to complement government efforts. .
