Assembly confirms DCE

Atebubu (B/A), June 28, GNA – Mr. Cassius Osei Poku, was on Tuesday confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atebubu District Assembly.

In an election conducted by the District Electoral Commission at Amonteng, 28 out of the 32 assembly members voted for Mr Osei Poku, while four voted against his nomination.

Mr Osei Poku heartily expressed gratitude to the assembly for the confidence reposed in him.

He said, the demands of the people in the district were very challenging and promised to strive to live up to the task ahead. He urged the people to get more united so that, with unity of purpose, the assembly could facilitate the development of the district. Mr Amankwah Kokroh, the Presiding Member expressed satisfaction with the absolute peace that characterised the election.
