Assemblies of God Students Union hold conference

Accra, Dec. 24, GNA – Mr James Asare, President of the Assemblies of God Students Union, has called on the youth to lead Godly lives to enable them to achieve their aims. He said the youth were ruining their lives through the adoption of the “get-rich-quick attitude” and engaging in nefarious activities.

Mr Asare made the call at the opening of a four-day conference of the union in Accra on Thursday.

The conference, under the theme; “For Times Such as This,” is aimed at promoting the spiritual growth and the general welfare of members.

It was also to guide and guard members against the spreading of false doctrine and occultism in schools.

About 100 members drawn from the Brong Ahafo, Eastern, Central and the Greater Accra Regions are attending the conference.

Mr Asare expressed the hope that the conference would make a difference in the lives of the participants and prepare them adequately for the year 2010.
