Assemblies asked to make good use of Common Fund

‘ Tamale, Oct. 27, GNA – Professor Kofi Awoonor, the Chairman of the Council of State, has charged District Assemblies in the country to make judicious use of their resources especially the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) to ensure the speedy development of the country. He said the Assemblies must be accountable to the people of Ghana and added that “Every pesewa that comes to the Assemblies must be properly utilized.the assemblies will be accountable for all expenditure made”. Prof. Awoonor was addressing the Tamale Metro Assembly in Tamale on Thursday as part of a two-day official visit by some members of the Council of State to the Region to familiarize themselves with ongoing development projects across the country.
