Aspiring National Chairman of NPP calls on foot soldiers to unit

Bolgatanga, Dec. 15, GNA – Mr. Felix Kwasi Owusu-Adjapong, an aspirant vying for the

National Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), has said there was the need for all

members of the party to unite to enable the party wrestle power from the National Democratic

Congress (NDC). Addressing a meeting of the Constituency Executives in the Upper East Region to

announce his intention to stand for the position of the National Chairman of the NPP, he said

party supporters should refrain from factionalism and other negative tendencies. He said the time had come for them to vote for a competent and a unifier as their National

Chairman so as to be able to unite all members of the party. Mr Owusu-Agyepong said the NPP was such an advanced party that he believed it needed

to get a competent person like him to steer the affairs of the party. He gave the assurance that he would not fail them when given the nod and attributed the

failure of the party to capture the 2008 elections to poor campaign strategies. “This is the time for us to come together as a unifying force to work collectively for the

party to win the 2012 election.” He therefore appealed to delegates to vote for him during the NPP National Congress to

enable him lead the party to victory in Election 2012.
