Aspirant Assemblyman remanded for fraud

Agona Swedru, Aug 5, GNA – The Agona Swedru Magistrate Court has remanded George Biney Ampiah, an Aspirant Assemblyman for Swedru Mahodwe Electoral Area, into prison custody for defrauding by false pretences and resisting arrest.

Ampiah pleaded not guilty and would reappear on August 9.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector Clement Adjei told the court that on March 27, Mr Kwame Oti Asiamah said he needed a store to deal in hardware and assorted goods.
