Kumasi, Oct. 3, GNA – The Member Parliament for the Asokwa, has donated a 29-inch television to the staff and management of the Kumasi South Hospital.

The television, which was funded through the MP’s Common Fund and was to be used by patients to ease the stress they go through while waiting to be attended to by doctors. Mr. George Adusei, a representative for the MP who made the presentation on his behalf, said the package was to complement government’s effort at providing health facilities with all their requirements. Dr. Frank Abebrese, Medical Superintendent in charge of the Hospital who received the television, commended the MP for his support for the hospital.

Madam Rosemond Arday, Administrator of the hospital, appealed to institutions, non-governmental organisations and philanthropists to help the hospital to procure three more televisions for the newly refurnished Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) that would be inaugurated before the end of the year.
