Asogli State invite citizens for Easter

Ho, April 3, GNA – The Easter Planning Committee of the Asogli State has urged all citizens of the Asogli Traditional Area resident outside home to come home for this year’s Easter celebrations.

Apart from meeting their families to make merry and solve domestic problems, it would enable the citizens to discuss how best to tackle developmental challenges of the area. These are contained in a statement signed by Mr John Kuka, Secretary to the Agbogbomefia, Paramount Chief of the Traditional Area.

The statement said, the programme of activities for the celebration would be climaxed by the Asogli Youth Congress, under the theme, ” The Role of the Youth in the Unity and Development of Asogli”, at Ho on Saturday April 10.

Speakers at the Congress would include Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia, Togbe Howusu XII, Awafiaga of Asogli, Major General Henry Anyidoho (rtd), Commander Kofi Klutse (rtd) and Professor F.O. Kwami, former Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The statement said the week-long celebrations would commence with a general clean up exercises in all divisions of Ho on April 8. The event will be followed by Church activities on April 9, family reconciliation and re-unions and a State Dance at the Freedom Hotel in Ho on April 10.

There will be a football match between Ho-North XI and Ho-South XI at Mawuko School Park on 11 April to be followed by a picnic at the same venue on April 12 to draw down the curtain on the celebrations.
