Asiedu Nketia: We want to defeat a healthy NPP in 2016

NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said the ruling party wants to defeat a healthy NPP in the 2016 elections and not a wobbling one.

According to him, it will be unfair for the NDC to confront and defeat the opposition party when it is in a state of despair and confusion.

“I want the NPP to be strong so we can defeat them in their strength,” he told Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Wednesday.

He said the rancor in the NPP deeply worries him and he hopes it will be resolved immediately.

“The happenings in the NPP deeply worry me. They reflect badly on Ghana”.

The NPP is in a state of confusion as seven regional branches have called for the resignation of its national chairman Paul Afoko and general secretary Kwabena Agyepong.

The two executives are being accused of masterminding the killing of the party’s Upper East regional chairman Adams Mahama and causing division in the party.
