Asiedu Nketia: I’ll happily meet Josiah Aryeh in court

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia says he would happily meet Dr. Josiah Aryeh in Court to prove that he [Josiah Aryeh] stole party cars and took bribes.

Dr. Josiah Aryeh on Monday threatened to drag Asiedu Nketia to court over allegations of car theft and corruption.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia claimed that Dr. Aryeh “stole two cars” belonging to the party when he was leaving office as General Secretary of the NDC.

“Let Josiah Aryeh come to tell us that he indeed never stole two vehicles from NDC,” adding that, “they have been with him and he has not returned them”.

His comment was in response to Dr. Aryeh’s accusation of Government officials in the Mahama administration as a “bunch of thieves”.

Speaking at the National Democratic Party’s Delegates Congress in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, Dr Aryeh said: “…I was there before and I compare certain people – I don’t wanna name names – to a gang of thieves. They go stealing, burgling in the night and because you and I are not part of the game that stole, you will never see any sign of the booty, because if you saw the booty, you will let them out so they keep the booty to themselves”.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia, however, said Dr Aryeh as a former “bribe taker” from the NPP while he was General Secretary of the NDC, lacks the credibility to accuse anybody of corruption and thievery.

In an interview with XYZ News, Dr. Aryeh threatened to haul Mr. Asiedu Nketia to court for defamation, denying that he ever took bribes from the NPP and stole party cars.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito, speaking on Okay FM Tuesday morning, stated that he is happy Dr. Aryeh has decided to drag him to court.

He said he would happily meet him in court to prove his allegations.

“I am happy that he is going to court, I would happily meet him there,” Mr. Asiedu Nketia said.
